My trip home!

It's been a few weeks since I wrote a blog post...sorry!  Things around here have been pretty boring and pretty on edge!  We are at the point in Neal's training that it's all a waiting game.  Well, my nerves had a enough of it a few weeks ago so I decided to take an impromptu trip home to Missouri!  For the first time in my life, I was homesick.  I literally had tears in my eyes when my plane landed in Cape Girardeau and I got my first glance at trees!  and grass!  and corn fields!!  I NEVER thought I would be so grateful to be home.  Needless to say, it was a much needed trip and I had a great time with friends and family!

Luckily, it was Father's Day that same week I was home, so I got to spend the day with my dad.  I also got to visit with Neal's Dad and family.  We had a great time!

We got to have some more fun the next Monday when I went swimming with Abby, the kids, and Neal's Mom.  We had a great day!!

What a great trip!  A trip home was just what the doctor ordered.  For any one back home that want's to get out of there as soon as you can (trust me, I felt the same!) - PLEASE soak it in while you can!  There REALLY is no place like home!  And definitely Southeast Missouri!

As for us, Neal has been doing very well with his flights and getting them done.  He only has 2 more left!  So, if everything goes PERFECT we should be able to leave here and head to our new home next week!  That's a big IF!  We really appreciate all the help from our friends and family that have offered to help us move, we are keeping you on speed dial!  And also, we really appreciate your prayers that Neal's flights go well and he finishes next week.  Thanks for reading!
